What kind of a person do you think deserves your respect? Why?

I would think that a person that deserves my respect would not be a hypocrite. Or a backstabber. That only deserves my digust. But a person that deserves my respect is a person who is kind, nice and excels in almost anything. Well, except excelling in being bad! :) Please do not change to the wetpaint.com thingy.
